You'll need nerves of steel to enjoy China's latest mega tourist attraction. Slated to open in July this year, the country will be home to the world's highest and longest glass-bottom bridge.

According to reports the bridge - to be built across two cliffs in China's Zhangjiajie National Forest Park - will be 1,410ft long, 20ft wide and will hover 984ft above the ground, with holding capacity of 800 people at one time. The bridge is designed by Israeli architect Haim Dotan, who is quoted in the report as saying that the bridge will also be used for fashion shows. According to Mirror, the skywalk will also be the site of the world's highest bungee jump.

The Zhangjiajie National Forest Park, in the Hunan province of south-central China, is known for its stunning rock formations, which were the inspiration for James Cameron's 2009 film Avatar.
